A little history
Traces of habitation date back to the Neolithic period. Archaeological excavations (2006-2007) carried out by the INRAP unearthed a collection of flint tools (scrapers, side-scrapers, blade flakes, fragments of a polished axe, a barbed and tanged arrowhead) from that period. The archaeologists discovered what could be a Bronze Age tomb near the cemetery. A network of field-boundary ditches from the Gallo-Roman period was discovered near the church.
