A little history
Traces of occupation date back to Roman antiquity. Tegulae, lipped tiles dating from the Gallo-Roman period, have indeed been found around Lubersac, in certain villages and in the fields. In 2010, during excavations carried out beneath the church, other slabs were found, as well as fragments of plasterwork, sarcophagi and a coin bearing a portrait of Hadrien, a Roman emperor of the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.
