A little history
The village of Le Parc is a lieu-dit known since the 15th century under the name of parc de l'ancien manoir de la Martinière de Braffais, referred to as le Château. The commune was created on 1 January 2016 by the merger of three communes, under the legal framework of communes nouvelles established by loi no 2010-1563 of 16 December 2010 on the reform of territorial authorities. The prefectoral order setting out the conditions was published on 28 September 2015. It specifies that the seat of the new commune is established at 2 route de Villedieu, in the former commune of Sainte-Pience.
