A little history
The commune resulted from the merger of the communes of Éclaron and Braucourt (prefectoral order of 26 1972) joined by that of Sainte-Livière (decree of 26 1974), which until that year had been situated in the département of Marne. Each merged commune is represented by a delegated mayor. Human settlement in the commune is ancient.
