A little history
The history of Déville-lès-Rouen was written by the Rouennais historian Robert Eude, who also drew its coat of arms. A small street bears his name today. From the 8th century onwards, the archbishops of Rouen had a manor at Déville. It was inhabited by Eudes Rigaud in the 13th century and embellished in 1500/1501 by Georges d'Amboise, but abandoned shortly afterwards in favour of the château de Gaillon.
