A little history
At Mont à la Quesne, at les Houguettes, a deposit of 280 socketed axes dating from the early Bronze Age (7th century BC) or the beginning of the Iron Age was discovered in 1850. In 1144, Adam de Bueys (Bruce), baron de Brix, gave the church of Couville to the abbaye de Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte. In 1155, Pierre de Bueys confirmed the donation.
