A little history
Nicolas du Bosc, seigneur de Bourg-Achard, founded a priory of Augustinian canons there in 1136, of which the church survives. A leper colony is mentioned in 1243. The hospice dates back to 1676. At the end of the Second World War, the town was liberated by the Allies on 28 August 1944.
