A little history
The château de Bacqueville was handed over to the English in 1418 by the Bourguignons following the capture of Rouen. During the Reformation, the town was pillaged in 1590 by Villars-Brancas. The baronnie de Bacqueville en Caux belonged for a long time to the Martel family. It was the chief town of a sergenterie on which 28 parishes depended.
