A little history
The first mentions of Alizay date back to the 12th century, when a parish was created. The lands of the Rouville became the most important fief in the parish. From the 14th century onwards, the title of seigneur d'Alizay is attested, which belonged to the powerful Rouville family. In 1684, the Rouville, beset by debts, ceded the fief to Gilles Hallé.
