A little history
During the construction of the Saint-Lô bypass, numerous preventive archaeological excavations took place. They clearly highlighted the long history of Agneaux since Prehistory. The most significant remains concern the Bronze Age, with the establishment of a vast necropolis and the discovery of several deposits of bronze objects, followed by the medieval period. A Herbert Ier d'Aigneaux is said to have been one of the companions of Guillaume le Conquérant (liste de Falaise).
