Construite en retrait de la côte occidentale de l'île et du golfe de Sagone, à proximité des gorges du Liamone, la petite ville de Vico serre ses maisons en granite à flanc de colline, au pied des premiers escarpements du massif du Monte Rotondo. Elle est historiquement le chef-lieu de la piève de Sorroingiù et plus largement du Vicolais.
