A little history
L'amiral de Coligny stayed there in 1568 during a truce in the Wars of Religion, close to the prince de Condé, at Noyers. He was forced to flee to escape the armies of Catherine de Médicis. The former communes of Saint-Vinnemer and Commissey were attached (by merger-association) to that of Tanlay in 1973. That of Saint-Vinnemer bore provisionally, during the French Revolution, the name of Vinnemer-l'Armançon.
