Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont is a French commune situated in the département of Seine-Maritime in the région of Normandie.
A little history
On 18 October 1197, following the treaty of Les Andelys signed between Gautier de Coutances, Archbishop of Rouen, and Richard Cœur de Lion, Duke of Normandy and King of England, the wood of Aliermont, among other possessions, became the property of the archbishopric of Rouen. The archbishops then launched the clearing of the forest and worked the land. The parish of Saint-Nicolas was created between 1208 and 1222 and the church was built from 1249. The manor of the archbishops was constructed between 1197 and 1248. It is known to us principally through the accounts of Archbishop Eudes Rigaud, who left numerous archive records of his many stays in the town.
