Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Terrieu, the ruisseau de Cecelés, the ruisseau de la Croix and by various other small watercourses. The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, two Natura 2000 sites (the « pic Saint-Loup » and the « hautes garrigues du Montpelliérais ») and six natural zones of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
