A little history
Under the Ancien Régime, Pouxeux was part of the ban d'Arches and the bailliage de Remiremont. Its church, dedicated to the saints Gorgon and Nabor, was an annex of that of Éloyes. From 1790 to year IX, the commune was part of the canton d'Éloyes.
