Le Tholy ([lətoːli]) is a French commune situated in the département des Vosges in the Grand Est region. It is situated in the massif des Vosges in the valley of the Cleurie between Remiremont and Gérardmer. It forms part of the communauté de communes Gérardmer Hautes Vosges.
A little history
The name of the village, Le Ruix dit Tôllys, is attested as early as 1530. Le Tholy formed part of the bailliage de Remiremont. It is impossible to say when Le Tholy first began to be inhabited. A house dating from 1411 once existed at the lieu-dit Demangestat.
