A little history
Formerly a pastoral village, this place had numerous pastures. Between the 16th and 17th centuries, a period marked by the growth of pastoralism in the valley, a chaume was created at the lieu-dit La Fosse, thanks to the granting of plots of land. This chaume is today a farm situated within the territory of the commune of Anould. Until 1671, when it was established as a cure, the parish of Clefcy was a dependency of Anould.
