A little history
Selongey belonged to the city of the Lingons, allies of Rome. The south-facing slopes as far as Montsaugeon had been planted with vines since Antiquity. The remains of a Gallo-Roman pressing room dated to 50 AD attest to winemaking activity. In the villa des Tuillières, grape pips were dated to 254 AD.
