A little history
The discovery of medals from the Late Empire and the remains of a villa demonstrate its Gallo-Roman origins (Chevigniacum, probably derived from capanna, which would here denote an isolated dwelling). The site is thought to have served as a trading place and subsequently developed into a village. The village of Chevigny is mentioned for the first time in 878. In 1178, the canons of Saint-Étienne founded the église de la Sainte-Trinité, dedicated to Christ.

Buying in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur
Reading the €1,900 to €2,954 band is a buyer’s main tool in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
Prices moving up narrow the room for negotiation without closing it, a property that has been on the market a long time is negotiable whatever the trend says.
