Petit village francilien en proche banlieue melunaise, Voisenon fut longtemps connu pour son abbaye royale du Jard fondée au XIIe siècle puis pour l’illustre personnage local, Claude-Henri de Fusée de Voisenon, abbé et académicien. Aujourd’hui encore majoritairement consacré à la grande culture céréalière, situé aux portes de Melun, le village bénéficie des commodités de l’agglomération en préservant un cadre champêtre.
