Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Gard, the canal d'irrigation de Remoulins à Tarascon and by another watercourse. The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, two Natura 2000 sites (the « costières nîmoises » and « le Rhône aval ») and two natural zones of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
